How to clean above ground pool?

We have one of those inflatable pools Walmart. It is 12 feet wide by 3 meters deep. We the pool filter, while the cartridge is very dirty and I go out and get another round today. Should we put any other chemicals to keep clean? What do you recommend? I bought the starter kit the crash 'n' swim, granular chlorine and stabilizer. The instructions say that we can pre-dissolve chemicals in a separate bucket and then walking around the pool to pour it in Can we do this, one after another? How to start with the stabilizer, then the granules chlorine and then the surprise, while the filter pump is working?
