Inflatable Pool Hole

Can you repair a large hole in an inflatable pool intex (the ring)?

We bought a intex pool pop up last summer. It was wonderful for children and easy to set up. What is stored in the garage, and when my husband was cleaning the garage, pulled, and the dog ahold of it and chewed three large holes in the inflatable ring. Literally, pieces are missing. One is big enough that I could put my hand on it! I really want to be able to establish but at the same time, it is even possible that the holes of this size in the portion of the inflatable ring? If so, how?

It may be worth trying the long shot I'm going to describe – and I wish him good luck in advance. The "normal" way to patch a hole in vinyl is simple enough: slap some glue on a piece material of the patch and paste it into the hole (patch kits are available in several places). The large hole is another story – and that's where the shot will go a long large piece of plastic from an old air mattress (or something similar – patches the game will not be enough), and some contact cement (something weatherstrip adhesive as an auto shop). Rough up the patch and the pool at all * within * the hole with a fine sandpaper, put some adhesive on the patch and the inside the pool around the hole, and install the patch – inside the hole. Make sure the patch overlaps the hole a couple of inches around, because large areas will feel a lot of air pressure from the tube. Hopefully, the tube is inflated and the adhesive is maintained. You may find it less hassle chasing another group in a garage sale though. Again, good luck!
