Inflatable Pool With Drain

No glue or patch has fixed our above-ground pool w top inflated ring. You can not fill up w / out it. Now what?

Buy This above-ground pool (15 'x 9') two years ago and we really enjoyed. Children need something to do at this time extremely humid NC! We used the patch that comes with it – not given. Then he tried to "Goop" glue says it will close all – still losing air! We do not have the money to replace ($ 300), so the setting is our only hope. One idea I have (my husband thinks it's nuts) is to take the "water noodles" inflatable toys (you know: the colorful thingys, a tube-like Styrofoam) and run a string through enough for the circumference of the top pool, the attachment to the top of the ring is deflated with some kind of waterproof glue, and then try to fill the pool above. The design of this pool is dependent on the top ring is able to float and maintain the shape of the pool, or ends (rectangular design) will sink and the water drain out. Sounds a bit nutty to me too, but I'm desperate! All ideas are welcome!

Here is my redneck Answer: try to tape! (Seriously .. might work) … Or I bought a patch for an above ground pool at Ace Hardware, but it was a few years ago and do not remember what it was. I know that repaired a hole in the wall of the pool and it worked perfectly. (The pool was filled with water at the time … and you can still use the patch that way.) If an Ace Hardware store in your area, you may want to consult the section of the pool. He had a kind of glue and circular patches. Hope this helps!
